Innovative Inspections leaves nothing unseen as your peace of mind is our main goal.
Our latest technology brings about the most dynamic reporting. We go beyond the surface to uncover hidden issues that might escape the naked eye. Our advanced thermal imaging inspections utilize state-of-the-art infrared technology to detect temperature variations within your home, revealing potential problems such as moisture intrusion, electrical hotspots, and inadequate insulation.
Additional Services
Radon Testing
Protect Your Home with Professional Radon Testing
We prioritize your family’s health and safety. Radon is an odorless, colorless, radioactive gas that naturally occurs from the breakdown of uranium in soil and rock. It’s the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States, making it essential to test your home for radon levels.
Why Radon Testing is Essential
Radon can enter your home through cracks in the foundation, walls, and other openings, accumulating to dangerous levels over time. Given that much of Northern Colorado lies in Radon Zone 1, homes in this area are more likely to have elevated radon levels of 4 pCi/L or higher, which may require mitigation.
Mold Testing
We understand that mold can be more than just an unsightly nuisance—it can pose significant health risks and compromise the structural integrity of your home. Our comprehensive mold testing services are designed to detect and address mold issues promptly, ensuring a safe and healthy living environment for you and your family.
Mold spores can enter your home through open doorways, windows, vents, and heating and air conditioning systems. Outdoor mold can also attach to clothing, shoes, and pets, introducing it into your indoor spaces.
Health Implications of Mold Exposure
Exposure to moldy environments may cause a variety of health effects, or none at all. Some individuals are sensitive to molds, and exposure can lead to symptoms such as:
Stuffy nose
Wheezing
Red or itchy eyes
Skin irritation
Sewer Scope
Over time, sewer lines can develop issues that are not immediately apparent but can lead to significant problems if left unaddressed. Common issues include:
Tree Root Intrusions: Roots seeking moisture can infiltrate small cracks in pipes, leading to blockages or pipe damage.
Pipe Corrosion or Deterioration: Older pipes, especially those made from materials like cast iron or clay, can corrode or degrade over time, leading to leaks or collapses.
Blockages and Build-ups: Accumulations of grease, debris, or foreign objects can obstruct the flow, causing backups into the home.
Bellied Pipes: Sections of the pipe that have sunk due to soil conditions, creating areas where waste collects and causes blockages.
Our comprehensive report includes a visual inspection of these main components:
ROOF
We assess the number of roofing layers, the condition of shingles, and look for any signs of leaks or damage in both the living areas and the attic.
STRUCTURE
We carefully examine all accessible structural components, including the foundation, basement, and attic, for signs of movement, alteration, or potential structural deficiencies.
PLUMBING
Our inspection includes evaluating water pressure drainage systems and examining water supply pipes, drains, and fixtures for leaks. We also assess the condition and age of the water heater.
ELECTRICAL
We evaluate the electrical system’s amperage, voltage, and panel condition. We also check for overcrowding, corrosion, and safety hazards, ensuring all outlets are properly grounded and functioning.
HEATING/COOLING
We check the furnace or boiler for proper function and look for signs of recent maintenance. Weather permitting, we test the air conditioning unit and assess the overall age of the HVAC systems.
WINDOWS
Since replacing windows can be costly, our certified home inspectors will inspect for proper operation, damaged glass or frames, and check for broken thermal seals or efficiency issues.
